Quarterly Retirement Living & Aged Care Seminar – February 2024

7 February 2024

Today “Retirement Living” is a broad spectrum that covers everything from in-home assistance to independent retirement village accommodation. So whether staying in your family home is your priority – or downsizing and seeking a community environment is your preference, there are options available to you. Likewise, “Aged Care” can cater for those in need of low-level care to high-level care.

Often people will only think about Aged Care options once the need arises and action is required urgently – such as after an accident or significant health event. It can then be a stressful and emotional time, and the decision falls on the spouse or children to make a reactive decision based on what is available at the time. We believe that Retirement Living and Aged Care options should be considered well in advance so that you can take the time to choose the best options for you. If you or a loved one will be in need of Retirement Living support and/or Aged Care in the coming years, then this seminar will explain the different options that are available. Topics we will be looking to cover include:

● Steps to take when deciding on retirement village living

● Home Care and Residential Aged Care

● Understanding the fees and charges involved

● Options for your former home if moving into residential care

● Centrelink issues

Time: 7:00pm Duration: 60mins + question time What to bring: Nothing is required.

Following the seminar, you’re welcome to book a complimentary appointment with Matthew Kelly to discuss your personal Aged Care needs at a date and time that best suits you. While we will be hosting the seminar in our boardroom, the number of guest allowed are restricted to ensure we comply with social distancing requirements. Appropriate hygiene measures will also be in place to ensure everyone’s health and well-being.
